Praise the Lord Everyone!

I pray that God is blessing all the churches all over the Ohio District and bringing blessings to his children. I am pleased to announce that 2008 has the potential to be the year that the Ohio District of the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ regains their position as National Champions! Yes, you heard me correctly, I said National Champions!
The churches in the Ohio District have a prestigious history in regards to ALJC Bible Quizzing at the National Level. Many times we have seen our friends from Heath, Elyria, and Barberton walk across the platform at our National Youth Convention and accept a first, second, or third place trophy. I long to see this magnificent walk of fame come back to the Ohio District in greater numbers than ever before. This is where your churches and your young people come into my master plan.
I am looking for a few good men and women who love their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are passionate about doing the work of God in their churches. It doesn’t take an intellect, an enormous degree, or a collegiate diploma hanging on the wall to create a great Bible Quizzing team. All it takes to have a successful Bible Quizzing program is your time, dedication, an undeniable passion for God’s Word, and a heart that aches to see this generation of young people become powerful instruments in God’s hands.
This year’s scriptures are from Galations, Ephesians, Philipians, and Colossians. I have read through the material and I am excited for the energy and raw knowledge that is contained with this year’s text of study. When our young people start learning how to live for God straight from the mouth of the Apostle Paul think of the pure and innocent anointing that is going to enter into our churches all across the USA!
If I can encourage you to participate in anything this year, it is Bible Quizzing. The rewards that the individuals and churches will reap from this one program are without height, depth, or human comprehension altogether.
I am planning on having as many BQ Invitationals as possible between now and our state tournament. These are great Saturday get-aways for both the kids and the coaches.
